Rail Position: 15m with cutaway in the straight

Track Conditions: Good 4

Track Comments: Rail is right out today, but the cutaway should enable most runners to get their shot.

Race 9, No 6 Detango
She was our best bet on June 14 and she won impressively and she’ll be our best bet again here. She’s drawn perfectly in barrier 4 and the 1300m should suit. The race maps out perfectly for her.

Race 7, No 11 Impresszar
Forget last start as she had no luck, prior to that she was beaten 3.8L by Rosewood Hill who’s racing in the Listed Strickland Stakes this weekend. Matthieu Autieur takes the ride again and at $26 a win and $7.30 a place, she’s a worth each-way chance.

Apprentice Maddison Brown had her first metro ride last week and it was a winner. She only has the one ride here today (Race 6, No 4 The Director) and it’s the $3.30 fav. She clearly has ability and may be worth following on horses like The Director which haven’t been far away from a victory.

Race 6 No 6 Leitfaden
She’s been $7 into $3.90 since prices opened. Her form has been questionable, but she has shown signs of improvement in her past two starts. William Pike takes the ride which may be another reason why she’s been so strongly backed.
